TRILA collaboration

The goal of the TRILA collaboration is to develop even better exercises for learning support and assessment tools for teaching and rehabilitation. Participating teachers and rehabilitation professionals will have access to the latest electronic learning support materials created by professionals. Initially, this will include Briefcases Of Special Support (BOSS), and in the future the offering will also expand to other materials in the ViLLE learning environment.

For researchers, the TRILA collaboration provides a channel for interaction with teaching professionals. This collaboration is a prerequisite for the development of new intervention tools and their research.

TRILA stands for Turku Research Institute for Learning Analytics. TRILA maintains the internationally awarded ViLLE learning environment. The TRILA researcher network includes experts from Finland and dozens of different universities.

What does TRILA collaboration mean in practice?

Through the collaboration, teachers and other professionals will have free access to the latest learning support and assessment tools developed by the Research Institute for Learning Analytics. The materials will be available in the ViLLE learning platform.

When a teacher signs up for the TRILA collaboration, they will have access to all the materials offered through the collaboration. The materials can be used immediately, and they will be available for two years. In addition, the teacher will have access to all new materials that are opened to TRILA teachers during the collaboration. Feedback and development suggestions can be collected on the materials and their use.

If a teacher participates in a TRILA research project during the two years, their membership will automatically continue.

The TRILA network also includes a large group of learning researchers. Through research collaboration, various assessment and survey tools are developed, the development of children’s learning and linguistic skills is studied, and the functionality and effectiveness of new teaching methods are tested. The projects vary in scope from theses to international collaboration projects.

TRILA collaboration materials for teachers

The number of materials available through the TRILA collaboration will increase as various assessment, support and teaching materials are developed for ViLLE.

A wide range of Briefcases Of Special Support are currently available. The materials are available in the BOSS view of the ViLLE learning platform. The briefcases contain training packages divided into subject areas, including mathematics and reading skills. The BOSS user interface also makes it easy to monitor the progress of a student or rehabilitated person in their training.

More information can be found on the BOSS website.
