EDUCA
The mission of the EDUCA – The Future of Education flagship research is to generate knowledge and increase understanding of why learning outcomes are declining, why school absenteeism and dropouts are increasing, and how technology is transforming teaching and learning. The research aims to investigate how individual and social learning processes vary and what factors explain differences between schools. The flagship consortium, led by the University of Jyväskylä, includes Aalto University, the University of Helsinki, and the University of Turku.
The EDUCA flagship research areas are:
- impact assessments of educational reforms and interventions
- learning variation, interaction and support in different learning environments
- scalable digital technology in learning and the school of the future
- strengthening the competence of teachers and educational leaders in learning communities.
